For most of human history, we could reasonably assume that books, articles, photographs, recordings, and other creative works originated through direct human effort. That assumption no longer universally holds. Human and artificial intelligence may now participate in the creation and modification of the same work. So Compass & Lantern Press is implementing a PD in our work as a simple declaration of provenance.
Content → What work? What type?
Author → Who/what created it? Human, AI, or both?
Adminic → Who/what supported it? Human, AI, both, or none?
Declarant → Who stands behind this declaration?
Date → When?
That's PD.
